Abstract

The effectiveness of starch based films coated with carvacrol against S. aureus in vitro or on the surface of cheddar cheese was investigated.. The results confirm that AM films containing carvacrol effectively inhibit the growth of S. aureus on the surface of cheddar cheese. Presented at the 17th International Association of Packaging Research Institutes (IAPRI) World Conference of Packaging - held Tianjian, China, 12-16 October, 2010
