Abstract

This paper is an outcome of the project entitled: Training Needs Analysis Methodologies.Industry Training Committees (ITCs) require comprehensive analyses at various levels if they are to make informed and sustainable recommendations about the training needs of their respective industries. Before defining training needs analysis in this paper, a comprehensive scheme of identification and analysis of human resource problems is briefly described, so that training needs analysis may be placed in an appropriate context. The scheme described here is the basis for the manual on workforce study methods, and is more fully described in the manual (Hayton, 1988).
