Abstract

The article presents an analysis of the development of competency standards and profiles for primary teachers in Vietnam. Ideology and philosophy, discipline knowledge, and pedagogy are some of the competence strands that were agreed at the end of the drafting process of the standards. Assessors were selected from the Teacher Training Institute and leading teachers to evaluate the teacher's performance in the country.
