Abstract
The article focuses on the violent riots made by Australians in Cronulla, New South Wales. On December 11, 2005, Australians wave flags, in which they sing Australia's national anthem and chanting anti Muslim/immigration slogans. Moreover, it mentions that the riots focused national and international attention on identity and race issue in Australia. However, Australian Prime Minister and New South Wales Premier argue that race and racism were not the causes of the riots.
