Abstract

This thesis sought to address two aims. The first aim was to evaluate what performance characteristics distinguish between skill levels at different stages of development (age) by using a multi-dimensional objective approach to performance testing in field hockey. The second aim of this thesis was to gain a better understanding about the influence of competition and training environments on the development of necessary field hockey skills.
