Abstract

This chapter is focused on the rising trends, heated discussions and growing support, at both the government, business and academic levels, to a new regional economic integration and free trade agreement, namely ASEAN+3 [or ASEAN plus China, Japan and Korea (see ASEAN, 2002)], in Asia and their policy implications.
