Abstract

This is a review of Julia Horne's "The Pursuit of Wonder" (2005). The focus of Horne’s book is the first half of the 19th century where she links the observations made by explorers and tourists with wider literary and artistic trends providing a particularly valuable contribution to the evolution of the tourism discipline.
