Abstract

Individuals and families are moving to regional communities as part of life changes, financial, familial or lifestyle reasons. Two research programs were conducted in Victorian regional communities as part of a study on the role that the post-compulsory education sector plays on this transition. The authors identify a need to re-examine all adult education and training sectors in Australia, ensuring they are in line with emerging national social inclusion policy frameworks that involve regional communities.
