Abstract

The purpose of this peer mentor program was to listen carefully to the advice and concerns of the people involved and to respond with flexible approaches. The peer program team was organised by skilled Indigenous people. The peer program model incorporates flexibility, training, partnerships, responsiveness and the strengths of individuals and the local community.
