Abstract

The recent advent of what is commonly known as Bu siness Intelligence (BI) syst ems has highlighted the importance of these systems in providi ng important decision-making information. BI systems are highly reliant on enterprise resource planning (ERP) sy stems functionality and th e vast amount of transa ctional data that ERP systems generate. Indeed, many companies have implemented BI systems as an extension to their ERP systems to enhance their strategic and analytical capabilities. No research exists that identifies the critical success factors (CSF) associated with BI systems implementations as part of an ERP system environment. This research adopts a content analysis approach to identify the critical success factors.
