Abstract

The government is invited to subscribe to a set of basic value judgements in relation to the "national estate" in terms similar to those set out below, and known as "Ecoso Guidelines" ("Eco" for ecological,and "so" for sociological). What is needed, [it is submitted], are guidelines for a policy that are thoroughgoing, consisted and principled.
