Abstract
Contains information about the Ideas Exchange Day seminar, part of the Ideas Exchange Project, held on Saturday, August 24th, 1996 at Footscray Campus of the Victoria University. The Ideas Exchange Day seminar took up the central theme "What Sort of Society Do You Want Australia To Be?". Topics for Discussion Groups included: Group 1: Personal Troubles - Sociable Solutions; Group 2: It is timely to have 5 tiers of Government, adding International and Neighbourhood to Federal, State and Local; Group 3: A Fair Days Work for a Fair Days Pay; Group 4: Think Globally - Act Locally; Group 5: I had a dream of uniting all the best of all races in this beautiful country called Australia; Group 6: Put Magic in the Lives of Children. The aim of the discussions was to begin an exchange of ideas for the central theme of the seminar.
