Abstract

Let c > b > a > 0 be real numbers. Then the function f(r) = Lr(a,b)/Lr(a,c) is strictly decreasing on (−∞,∞), where Lr(a, b) denotes the generalized (extended) logarithmic mean of two positive numbers a and b.
