Abstract

Empirical research in social work and other disciplines such as psychology and education confirms the centrality of relationship-building in achieving results in the helping professions. This thesis reports on mixed methods research that explores the employment outcomes of employment consultants in Australian contracted employment services and their job seeker engagement and relationship style.
