Abstract

The process behind, and the likely influence of, the Australia-United States Free Trade Agreement (AUSFTA) and Australia-China Free Trade Agreement (ACFTA) that will have profound effects on Australia's trade with the world in the 21st century is discussed. Some of the key political and trade ramifications underpinning each of these agreements are also examined.
