Abstract
In the traditional decision making process, at post assessment stage, 'weighting' each criterion is a very difficult process and depends heavily on the personal preference of the decision maker. There is a need to provide decision makers with a simple, less human interfered (yet still transparent) mechanism that integrates all the key criteria, while allowing a couple of them to be chosen as Critical Criteria (CC) that are more influential than others in the decision making process. The proposed Interlink Decision Making Index (IDMI) has those features. The paper provides two real cases to demonstrate the advantages of the IDMI approach.
