Abstract
GPS and mobile phone technology together have the potential to provide a strong mobile tracking device. Seven students in their final year of their courses were given the task of upgrading the Melbourne Zoo's mapping system to create the "Interactive ZooOz Guide". The paper will describe the type of technology used and the design and implementation of a prototype of the Interactive ZooOz Guide.
