Abstract

Implications of a unilateral carbon pollution reduction scheme for the domestic energy sector – issues stemming from the Kyoto Protocol and the failure of the Copenhagen talks – argument that a reduction in the carbon footprint requires an industry-driven, bottom-up approach - need for careful consideration in the implementation of a carbon reduction scheme given the current global financial situation.
