The thalassinidean ghost shrimp, Biffarius arenosus(Decapoda: Callianassidae), is a dominant component of coastal soft sediment communities in temperate
south-eastern Australia. This thesis investigated the burrowing and feeding ecology of a population of shrimps inhabiting an intertidal sandflat in Western Port, Victoria.
