This study is an action research project which was conducted to improve students’ language learning performance and also my teaching practice by implementing the student-centred (Communicative Language Teaching: CLT) approach which is well known among foreign language teachers as a practical teaching approach to create the
context of authentic language use in the classroom.

The research aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of my effort to change my traditional teaching practice and also to improve the students’ English learning performances and
investigate factors which obstructed students from learning the English language and the most practical teaching arrangements which suitable for the school’s context in the
future.

The target group was the seventh-grade students at Bamrung Wittaya School in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand.
