In Australia an increasing number of universities are becoming dual sector with both higher education and TAFE programs. The results of a survey of Australian University Libraries concerning performance measure for services to TAFE, an examination of the national TAFE and University Library statistics in relation to joint sector libraries, and an analysis of Victoria University use of the CAUL Client Satisfaction Performance measure into Higher Education and TAFE are reported. It is concluded that there is a there is a need for institutional and national action in the collection of data about user behavior, in the collection of statistics and in the use of performance measures in order to ensure the performance management of Library services to both the higher education and TAFE sectors in dual sector institutions.
