The electrical engineering problem/project based learning (PBL) precinct at Victoria University (VU), Melbourne, Australia, is designed to support the transition from traditional lecture-based teaching to problem-based learning. In designing the learning spaces in the precinct, it was considered critical to support student team meetings, research, design, construction, testing, report writing and reflection, all of which are important aspects of the VU PBL model. ---Next Generation Learning Spaces 2008 Colloquium.
