Interaction between home and international students was chosen as a theme for the Oxford Brookes 2008 Internationalisation of the Curriculum conference as research and our own experiences have shown this to be an area that requires attention. With many universities now claiming to give students an “international campus experience” it is necessary to consider what is happening inside and outside the classroom. The six papers chosen for presentation here have been selected for their review of, and addition to, the research in the area.We hope that collecting together this knowledge will focus renewed effort on evaluating good practice in this area and disseminating new ideas.
