Within the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), a new qualification, the associate degree, has been established.  The AQF intends this associate degree qualification to cut across the Higher Education and TAFE sectors. At Victoria University, the two education sectors have collaborated to identify eight areas of competency required to be met by candidates of a new IT program.
