Abstract

Research Background: In 2020 Augie March were commissioned to perform in full their classic debut album Sunset Studies, which was released by BMG Records in 2000. The album peaked at #35 on the Australian album charts, was nominated for 4 ARIA awards, has sold over 30,000 copies and achieved international critical acclaim. Due to Covid lockdowns, the show were postponed until 2021-22 when the band performed these concerts to near capacity houses at Melbourne Recital Centre, Canberra Theatre and Factory Theatre in Sydney. A follow-up concert was performed at the Croxton Hotel in Thornbury to over 700 patrons.
