Abstract

One in four people killed in accidental residential fires in the Melbourne metropolitan region can be linked directly to compulsive hoarding behaviors. The aim of the present study is to identify those characteristics of compulsive hoarding that make these individuals particularly vulnerable to death in residential fires.
