Abstract
The aims of this study were to: (i) characterize ordering of head computed tomography scans from the emergency department; (ii) determine the proportion of scans that yield an abnormal result; (iii) correlate results with clinical syndromes and neurological findings; and (iv) identify areas where a change in ordering practice may be warranted.
