Abstract

In this book (252 pages), under the pen name Nguyen Hung Quoc, I write about Vo Phien, one of the greatest writers in Vietnam. He is a very prolific writer who has published more than 50 books in various genres. In Vietnam, he was famous as a short story Writer and an essayist with an insightful vision and distinguished style. From 1975, he lived in the USA as a diasporant, continuing to devote himself to literature until his death. He published one or two new books in almost every year, most of which are highly evaluated by his colleagues and readers. In this book, I analyze many aspects of his talent and career, demonstrating that he is not only an excellent novelist but also a gifted essayist and literary critic.
