Abstract

The project Women's participation in sport and active recreation in Melbourne's west: an action plan for change aims to build an understanding of women and girls' physical, social and cultural determinants of participation and to use this information to engender change through a region-specific action plan. The aim of this Issues and Opportunities paper is to present the State of Play Report and Mapping quantitative data and to explore qualitative data collected during the consulation phase of the project.
