Abstract

Kuku and Erub artist Destiny Deacon works with Koori Kitsch, blak dolls and her family and friends to interrogate colonialism, racism and blak stories. Deacon’s 30 year career is viewed from the perspective of one of her living dolls and family members, raising themes of representation, belonging and Aboriginal and Islander world views in the face of ongoing colonialism.
