Abstract

[In Hebrew]. Title in English: A strategy for implementing education for sustainability within the formal education system. This article presents 13 principles of conduct strategic sustainability holistic education for all ranks of educational institutions, ranging from preschool to teacher training institutions. The proposed principles are based on an analysis of accumulated knowledge and experience in the field of education for sustainability around the world, and they encompass three strategic dimensions of education: the conduct of the educational institution, a model of teaching and pedagogy properties. The argument is the focus of the article is that the effectiveness of education and sustainability is derived from an integrated and synergistic implementation of these principles. The article lists a number of restrictions on the realization of strategic principles discussed at length limitation inherent in the use of old pedagogy and an effective approach to innovative content.
