Abstract

Considers the role and use of ICT in early childhood education then discusses what some of the international research shows about the ways in which ICT can impact on teaching and learning contexts in the 21st century. Ranges over the impact on literacy, numeracy, communication, critical thinking and creativity and the ability of ICT to enhance working in collaborative and flexible groupings.
