Abstract

Print very clearly demarcated the boundaries between readers and writers, setting each up as individual and separated entities. Digitisation is blurring those boundaries and is allowing for readers to become writers and writers to become readers. The idea, in the digital realm, that we are all individuals with unique roles and identities is changing as a result of this. Online we play many roles, under many different guises; we become multividual, rather than individual. This has implications for the way we write, tell, publish and read stories.
