Abstract

A multi-layered self study journey that uses visual narrative as a means to improve practice and educator understandings. This paper reflects on analysis through a range of visual representations and visual narrative which enabled the documentation of practice. However, visual narrative and visual representations were purposely used as the means to share the stories of the author's work and practice. The author believes that this enabled deeper self study and self analysis as well as providing skill development. In addition, by presenting these visual stories to colleagues and peers, the author/researcher was able to interpret, clarify, modify, and justify their practice. Furthermore, by presenting the visual narratives to others, the self study also incorporated peer reflection. This practice based paper explores the self study journey.
